Excellent trip!

My first holiday to Austria, and would thoroughly recommend Austria as a Kayaking/multi activity holiday.

Every section of River was very different and exciting.  Andy choose the rivers to push everyone’s ability but within their comfort zone.

We started on the easier rivers and as our confidence built so the rivers increased in volume and difficulty.

Rivers were run in a buddy system, which work brilliantly for those less confident  (Me) and I found myself running things I thought I wouldn't run by the end of the week.

Andy very quickly assessed
everyones needs and ran a
couple of sessions
specifically aimed at the
ladies in the group -
the Sanna trip.

This was great because it was ran at our pace and we could ask anything we wanted to.

Each rapid was discussed and we all ran it with the confidence that we'd taken out time to choose lines and within a safe river running system.

The group seemed to come on leaps and bounds in  these sessions, it made such a difference to our confidence just slowing things down, explaining whys and where’s and making it less competitive and aimed at women.

I would definitely recommend
this to any women who
normally just follows the blokes.

Dave Evans: (June Trip)

Given the disappointing water
forecast for France, I was glad
to be heading to Austria for this
year's Bangor Oldboys Tour.
Although this was my
6th Alpine season, paddling
is still very much a second
sport, with grade IV being the
top of my game on a good day.
Just looking off the bridges
as we drove down got my
heart racing!
A few runs of classic high-volume
rivers soon put my mind at ease.
The Imst Gorge section of
the Inn is pretty much Austria's
equivalent to that students'
favorite, 'The Mighty Durance'.
Only this is bigger! Wave
train followed wave train, as we
whooped our way down the
river trying moves and
surfing waves. Filled with
confidence, we moved on to
other classics in the area.
The Rosanna, Landeck
Gorge and Sanna each raised
the bar, and despite a couple
of swims I still felt like trying
something more.
